"Globalization gives us an opportunity to solve problems in a new way--with a worldview of cooperation rather than conflict. But we are now seeing a backlash against the technologies and economic systems that further empower the powerful. Legions of disenfranchised minority groups, downsized workers, and others abandoned by the high and mighty are blaming globalization for their woes. To avoid a massive social uprising, the world's power elite must make a stronger case for globalization--and build stronger ties with the masses they hope to lead to future prosperity." (FUTURIST) The author emphasizes that "our common future depends on creating an international system built on a foundation of inclusiveness, cooperation, and consent" and presents his opinions on what political leaders must do to facilitate global cooperation.
