"For decades, earth science has been the 'sometimes science'--taught sporadically and not taken seriously. In Maryland, however, a partnership between NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and a local school district offers a popular course that some are calling revolutionary." (TEACHER MAGAZINE) This article describes how collaboration between the Goddard Space Flight Center and the Anne Arundel County school system in Maryland has made earth science a more popular subject with the hope that more students will choose science as a career and help replace the scientists NASA will be losing through retirement.
